Handmade fused glass plate. This design is special to me as it was inspired by my travels to Greece, specifically the island of Santorini.  When I was there I fell in love with the blue and white painted bulidings and have been working on a design that captured the beauty of that place.  This design is made of three layers of glass, a thin glass circle, fused over a solid blue circle, with the solid white glass design fused on top.  Each piece of glass was cut, ground into shape and melted two times to achieve its unique beauty.  I fused this plate to 1445 degrees, just hot enough to create texture, so when you run your hand over this design, you will feel the white design raise up off the blue.  The amber collection makes a wonderful gift, can be used as a jewelry plate, soap dish, or simply for display.
