Handmade and functional.  This design started with the cobalt blue glass, and I loved it so much I had to do it in this amazing shimmery, irrodized taupe.  Transparent irrodized taupe glass is cut and grinded into intricate shapes that make up this design.  The taupe is layered onto white glass and melted in a kiln up to 1445 degrees, fusing it together.  The piece is then melted again to slump into shape. I melt the glass just high enough to create texture, so when you run your hand over this design, you will feel each individual shape.   This shape is perfect as a jewelry plate, spoon rest, or just to show off.
