Transparent light blue and periwinkle blue glass was used for these earrings.    The pair is cut and grinded to match each other in size and shape.  The light blue glass is fused over a slightly smaller piece of white glass to a temperature of 1445 in my kiln.  And the periwinkle is fused under a thin piece of clear glass to the same temperature.  The glass melts together and creates a smooth edge. These earrings are not heavy, one question that is always asked of my work.

 Sterling silver is used for the stud backing and the total length of the earrings are 1.75 inches long. The large glass piece is 1 in long.  Industrial strength adhesive is used for the backing of these earrings.
