This piece of fused glass is two layers thick.  Swirly blue and clear glass fused over lavender glass.  Each pendant I make with this blue and clear glass is truly unique because of the swirls.  Both pieces of glass are cut and grinded into a perfect circle, and I leave the top glass slightly larger than the bottom to create a smooth edge when fusing.  By fusing this piece to a temperature of 1360 degrees in my kiln, the glass melts together creating a perfect rounded edge. Gold filled chain is 17 inches long.

Fused glass piece is just over half an inch.
