Handmade fused glass ring. This ring is three layers thick, starting with 12 light aqua transparent glass squares, fused over clear and turquoise glass rectangles. The layer of clear glass not only gives it dimension but makes for a solid, heavy ring. This ring is not only beautiful from the top, but the sides are smooth and show each layer melted together. By fusing to a temperature of 1415 in my kiln, the glass melts together but you can still feel the texture of each little square of glass.
The glass is glued using an industrial adhesive to a sterling silver base that is adjustable. This base is very strong, not flimsy like other adjustable rings. It takes some muscle to adjust this base, this is good- it means once you fit it to your finger, it will not change shape and become flimsy.
My rings are not just for special occasions, I wear one every day, swimming, doing dishes, cleaning, everything! I design and create each piece by hand, feel confident you are buying a sturdy ring - they are funky and fabulous!
