Handmade fused glass ring. This ring design is a favorite of mine. It is made up of three layers of glass. Dark turquoise glass is fused over clear and then yellow glass in a design that creates the roman numeral 10. My goal was to incorporate the roman numeral in a subtle way. This ring is not only beautiful from the top, but the sides are smooth and show each layer melted together. By fusing to a temperature of 1400 in my kiln, the glass melts together but you can still feel the texture of each piece of turquoise glass.
The glass is glued using an industrial adhesive to a sterling silver base that is adjustable. This base is very strong, not flimsy like other adjustable rings. It takes some muscle to adjust this base, this is good- it means once you fit it to your finger, it will not change shape and become flimsy.
My rings are not just for special occasions, I wear one every day, swimming, doing dishes, cleaning, everything! I design and create each piece by hand, feel confident you are buying a sturdy ring - they are funky and fabulous!
