Handmade and functional.  This gorgeous mosaic piece is perfect for the safekeeping of your rings, or other jewelry.  Keep by the sink, bed, or desk; you will never loose your favorite jewelry again!   For this mosaic design I used different brown colored glass.  Swirly white and brown, transparent light brown, and Iridized brown.  Each little colored piece is cut, washed, and then arranged on a clear piece of glass.  It is then melted in a kiln up to 1445 degrees, fusing it together, and then melted again to slump into shape.  I melt the glass just high enough to create texture, so when you run your hand over this little ring holder, you will feel each individual colored square.
